3 Hour Class

A creative sewing class that combines several techniques to create stunning fractured landscapes. The class participants will have fun cutting fabrics and reassembling them in a fractured composition. Then to add dimension we will use Sulky Puffy Foam, decorative threads, snippets of fabrics and other goodies to learn how to make applique accents.

A trunk show with samples using this creative technique is included with the class. I will show how fractured landscapes could be used to make landscape art quilts, fabric postcards, tote bags, pillows and more.

Paper Pieced Book Cover Class

Paper Pieced Book Cover Sewing Class

A fun and easy class where participants learn the basics of paper piecing and sew a cover for a paper back book. The paper piecing has been made easy by using wash away stabilizer and numerical placement for each piece. The pieced book cover provides a wonderful canvas to practice all different decorative stitches and can also be adapted to add machine embroidery in the center of the book cover. These charming book covers can be sewn in an afternoon, so they make great make and take classes.

The design possibilities are unlimited...they could be made up in different holiday fabrics or themes.
